Keep your straws happy with a little cleaning session. đđ˝
Â
Here's a fun cleaning video featuring our recommended ways of cleaning our straws, a basic quick clean versus a deep clean (think post smoothie..maybe a few hours after sipping).Â
Â
Â
Quick Clean
Quick clean is best for in-between drinks & deep cleans or when you don't have the time to do more.
Rinse your straws with hot water
Give it a quick scrub with a Simply Straws Brush from either end.
Rinse thoroughly and place it in an upright position to dry.Â
Deep Clean
Deep clean is when you want to make sure your straw is good and clean or when you've left it sitting in your car after drinking a smoothie.
Use hot soapy water and soak for a short period of time (or long, depending on how dirty it is).
Using fresh hot water and soap, use the Simply Straws Brush and scrub it from either end. For our glass straws, hold up to the light and make sure you got everything on the inside.
Rinse thoroughly and place it in an upright position to dry.Â
Â
DishwasherÂ
Rinse straw with warm waterÂ
Use the Simply Straws Brush and scrub it from either end if needed.
Place upright in the utensil holder in your dishwasher, with the rest of your utensils and run the dishwasher.
When unloading the dishwasher, make sure your straw is 100% dry or store upright until it is dry.

We recommend rinsing with (or drinking) clean water after every use and place in an upright container (like our mason jar in the video) or your antibacterial hemp sleeve for protection.Â
We do not recommend any harsh cleaners on our straws as there isn't a need for them. Use warm water and some natural soap to do the trick. đ°If you are going for a deep clean, keep your straws soaking for a few minutes before washing through.
