Simply Straws was proud to be a part of CauseBox's Winter Welcome 2020 Box. If you're not familiar with the concept, CauseBox is a hand-curated, socially conscious exclusive products, delivered to your door, each season. We are so excited to share with you the exclusive product we designed, just for this community. Here is how CauseBox brought our products to life:
In starting Simply Straws, Cyndi and Chanelle Sladics didn't simply endeavor to create a sustainable replacement for a single-use product, they set out to build an entire supply chain and company infrastructure from the ground up with environmental stewardship in mind. A deep consideration of the environment is embedded in everything they do.
After staggering statistics about plastic pollution became more widely publicized, Simply Straws was founded by a mother-daughter duo with a passion to protect nature, and make a positive change in the world.
Their straws are durably handmade in Califonia, using non-toxic colors and BPA-free materials. Their stainless steel is 18/8 grade. Their packaging is compostable. Their straw sleeves are made from fair-trade hemp, flax, organic cotton, and their company stationary is even made from FSC-certified, 100% post-consumer recycled paper. Taking it one step further still, their web-hosting and printing are powered by eco-energy. The laundry list of green initiatives is so exhaustive, that it's almost as if they're gamifying their impact to enable themselves to go greener at every decision. They joke internally: "If we were any more green, we'd be a tree."
When the challenge is as daunting as the single-use plastic pollution problem, and the passion for conservation runs as deep as it does at Simply Straws, there is no room to cut corners. These days there are all kinds of options when it comes to reusable straws - but you'll find the CAUSEBOX team sipping out of Simply Straws, because their commitment to combating the plastic problem extends well beyond straws.
While these straws were an exclusive collaboration with CAUSEBOX, you can still get your own
