+ There are many reusable straws to choose from. Why should I buy a Simply Straws product?

The reason Simply Straws began was to provide a safe, healthy, BPA-free alternative to the plastic; a straw that's reusable, environmentally sustainable and durable enough to last a lifetime. We choose to make our straws and products from one of the healthiest and most durable materials available.

We have set up our company to be environmentally responsible and sustainable from the beginning, and will continuously keep working to cut waste and operate more efficiently.

+ What kinds of straws does Simply Straws make and what are the differences?

At present, we offer our superior glass straw made from Borosiliate Glass in 112 difference styles.  You have options of crystal clear glass and colored glass with 3 different lengths, 3 different diameters, straight or bent.  To learn more about each straw visit  “The Collection” page.

+ What's the story on your covers for the straws?

Our straw sleeves are made from sustainable Hemp, Flax and Organic Cotton.  We were extremely particular when choosing our fabrics for the straw sleeves. Here are a few of our many reasons why:

Organically grown Hemp & Flax are a renewable material and natural pest/disease resistant, which makes it a natural choice for preserving our environment!

Hemp is considered a “grass”; known for incredible strength, durability with natural anti-bacterial properties. This material resists odors and mold naturally!

Organic Cotton or Sustainable Cotton embodies versatility, strength and beauty, while making sure the land and crops are not introduced to toxic pesticides.  It is easily cleaned and the longevity of the fabric is superior.

+ Does Simply Straws have BPA?

No way. Every straw ever made at Simply Straws is totally free of BPA and other harmful substances.

+ What is BPA and why would it be harmful?

BPA stands for bisphenol-A. BPA is found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Studies have linked BPA to hormone disruption, increased breast and prostate cancer cell growth, early onset puberty, and obesity.

+ Why do Dentist and Hygienist recommend glass straw?

The dental community has become aware even those on a healthy diet are prone to acid wear of teeth, a worrisome escalating trend. Erosion of the enamel on your teeth can make them more sensitive to temperatures and also makes your teeth more prone to decay. Using a glass straw helps minimize contact with the teeth and helps reduce the effects of acid on tooth enamel, while removing the harmful exposure to BPA that would be found in a ordinary plastic straw.

All our products are made right here in California.  In our workshop we hand make every straw; that is why each and everyone is unique to itself. 

Using and Cleaning your Simply Straws products

+ Can I drink acidic beverages such as apple juice or orange juice with a Simply Straws glass straw?

Of course, this is why our glass alternative is the perfect fit.  Whether you choose a clear or colored glass straw you will never need to worry about damaging the glass with different types of liquids.

+ Do Simply Straws glass straws sweat?

Yes, you will find that when drinking very cold liquids your straw will sweat.

+ Can I drink hot liquids with my Simply Straws glass straw?

Absolutely! We recommend using our high-performance skinny straw for coffee and tea.  Once you’ve tried it your will taste the difference.

+ How do I clean my glass straw?

Your glass straw is dishwasher safe.  We recommend after every use to rinse with clear water and either place in an upright container (utensil holder) or place in your antibacterial hemp sleeve for protection. When necessary use the appropriate size Simply Clean Brush for a spotless, immaculate and pristine straw.

+ My glass straw has a hazy look to the glass after many uses?

At times your straw may look like it has a film on it.  This may be due to hard water deposits.  The easiest solution is to place your straw in white vinegar then rinse with clear water, again place it an upright position to dry.

+ I am having trouble cleaning my bent straw?

Please be aware these cleaning brushes do not flex easily, this may make cleaning the bent straws difficult.   If you need to clean the bent area try using a simple craft pipe cleaner. Also, soaking in warm soapy water or white vinegar works well. You will always want the XLong brush for the bent straws.

+ How can I clean my straw sleeve?

It is easily cleaned either in you washing machine or by hand and the longevity of the fabrics is superior.  These sleeves may shrink slightly upon washing, but will stretch back to its original size once in use. Like your jeans ;)

+ How should I store my glass straws?

We have found a number of ways to store our glass straws.  Simply Straws makes available a number of different size sleeves to accommodate everyone: single sleeves for your purse, car or backpack, 3 straw sleeve holds more and is for the active person and our 6 straw sleeve works well for home resembling a beautiful jewelry roll. Check out what we have to offer on the Simply Cover page.  For quick access we love to leave them in an up-right position in a glass vase in our kitchen, giving everyone the opportunity to experience drinking out of a glass straw.

Ordering

+ How do I know if my order was processed?

Before checking out, make sure to double-check the information you entered is as accurate – especially your email address. If you have successfully placed a purchase, you will immediately be sent a confirmation email receipt with your order information. Your email confirmation receipt will have the amount that was charged to your card. If you have placed multiple orders, you will receive a confirmation email for each individual order successfully placed.

+ I don’t see exactly what I need in length for my glass straw. Do you do custom orders?

We will do our best to accommodate your custom orders.  Please allow us 4-6 weeks for larger request. Contact us for a quote.

+ What if I changed my mind?

Cancellations are to be submitted within 24 hours from placing online order.

+ Do you offer FREE Shipping?

We offer FREE domestic shipping* on orders over $100 for any Simply Straws products.*Continental US only. Does not apply to U.S. Territories and cannot be combine with other discounted offers.

+ When will my order ship?

Orders are typically fulfilled and out the door within 5-7 business days. It all depends on how many orders are in line in front of yours. If you selected an expedited shipping method of 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air, your order will typically ship within 1-2 business day.

+ What days will you not ship?

Simply Straws and its carriers will not be shipping or delivering on:

+ What are my shipping options?

Standard shipments within the United States are usually sent via USPS or UPS, however we do offer other expedited method such as 2nd Day Air.  We'll email you when your order has shipping with the tracking number.

+ How do you calculate your shipping charges?

A shipping charge will be provided prior to checking out. We provide a shipping charge specific to your order based on the cost of the items, as well as your ship to location. To see what shipping charges will be for your order, add the desired items to your cart and proceed to checkout.

International Orders

Simply Straws has partnered with a trusted third-party company, International Checkout, to fulfill orders for our International customers. Simply put the items you wish to purchase in our Shopping Cart and choose the "International Checkout" option. Your items will be transferred to International Checkout for processing. You may pay by International credit card, PayPal or bank transfer. International Checkout will process your order, including billing, shipping and customer service. Once your order is completed, all inquiries should be directed to International Checkout at support@internationalcheckout.com.

Which countries do you ship to?

International shipping is currently available WORLDWIDE from Simply Straws. Our third party vendor, International Checkout, will ship to all destinations around the world including APO / FPO addresses.

Can I check the status of my international order?

Replacement

+ What if I break my glass straws?

We offer a Lifetime Guarantee Against Breakage that applies to our glass straws only-Retail Purchases.  We are so confident that Simply Straws glass drinking straws are rugged enough to handle daily life and use, that we will replace any broken straw without customization.  (EXCLUDING shipping). Please take a photo of the straw and the small logo on either end of your straw, up load photo on to the replacement form or email to orders@simplystraws.com with your information.  Allow 5-7 business days once we receive your straw to process your request.  We will issue you a web-store credit and provide you with the coupon code for non-customized glass straw that you may use on any products at www.SimplyStraws.com.

Please fill out our Replacement, Return & Exchange Form we must receive your clear photo for replacement.

Exchanges or Returns

+ Can I return or exchange my straw?

Yes. Please fill out our Replacement, Return & Exchange Form

If you purchased or received a non-custom product directly from simplystraws.com and would like to return or exchange it within 30 days, we can issue you a refund or web-store credit for exchange. Returned goods must be in perfect, unused condition and must be made within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, we will not accept returns for any straws, sleeves or brushes. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs to return merchandise to Simply Straws, unless the item is defective.

If you purchased your product from a retail store or a website other than simplystraws.com, please go directly to the original place of purchase.

+ How long will my request for replace, return or exchange take?

Replacements, Returns & Exchanges Procedure take approximately 7-10 business days to process and does require a Return/Exchange Form.
